How to Join the Society - and RehearsalsNew members are always very welcome. Previous experience is not necessary - it is enthusiasm that counts! The first point of contact is our Hon Sec Jean Pratt. She can be contacted on 01483 417653 or by email on: Jean.Pratt2@btopenworld.comChorus Members: There are no formal auditions for the chorus although new members will be asked to sing in private to the musical director so he can make sure they are in the right voice part Potential Principals: Auditions are held for solo parts. Auditions are now open to non-members - although anyone who is given a part will have to become a member! Audition pieces are available in advance from Jean Back stage: Anyone interested in working back stage will need to give his or her details to Jean. You will then be contacted by Mike King our Stage Manager.Make-up: If you are interested in make-up Jean will be delighted to hear from you.Front of House: If you would like to work Front of House, your details will be passed on to our Front of House Manager, Jill Mussett who will contact you ii) RehearsalsOur rehearsal nights are Mondays and Thursdays from 7.45pm to 10pm, with one or two rehearsals on Sunday afternoons. Rehearsals are at Moss Lane School, Godalming, with occasional rehearsals at the Borough Hall.For the G&S, from September until Christmas the chorus generally rehearse on Mondays and principals on Thursdays (and Mondays when required). After Christmas it is Mondays and Thursdays for everyone together with one or two Sunday afternoons.For our summer production the amount of rehearsal varies according to what we do.Our Rehearsal venue:Moss Lane School Moss Lane School is to be found on Moss Lane, which is off Godalming High Street (by Boots the Chemists).
